I feel far from Allah and ashamed to come back

Feeling far away is not a reason to stay away.

In short

Come back with the next prayer, the next sincere tawbah and the next small act of obedience. Do not wait until you feel spiritually clean enough to return. Allah's door of repentance is open, and shame should push you toward Him rather than convince you that you are not welcome.

What Islam gives us here

Qur'an 39:53 tells those who have wronged themselves not to despair of Allah's mercy.

Qur'an 2:222 says Allah loves those who repeatedly repent and purify themselves.

Do not wait for a big emotional moment

You may not suddenly feel transformed. Start with what is due now: prayer, leaving the sin and asking Allah sincerely for help.

Consistency beats a dramatic three-day reset

A small routine you keep is better than building an impossible plan and collapsing by the weekend.

Change what keeps pulling you away

Friends, private habits, apps or places may be tied to the distance you feel. Tawbah becomes stronger when the environment changes too.

What you can do now

  1. Pray the next obligatory prayer on time.
  2. Make sincere tawbah without rehearsing excuses.
  3. Choose one small daily act of Qur'an or dhikr you can maintain.
  4. Remove one repeated trigger that keeps pulling you back into the same sin.

Questions people usually ask next

What if I keep falling into the same sin?

Keep repenting and keep changing the conditions around the sin. Repeated failure is not permission to give up on Allah's mercy.

Do I need to become perfect before I make dua?

No. Dua and repentance are part of how you return, not rewards for already being perfect.
